Vaporetto Bar and Eatery

Stumbled upon this place accidentally a while back and finally managed to find some time to come back again.<br/ <br/ We had booked a couple of days ahead and it was nice to not only receive a call to confirm our booking the day before but also they asked where we 'd like to sit. We were given the option of by the bar to watch the action in the kitchen or the undercover courtyard.<br/ <br/ I had opted for the courtyard, which was very cosy. <br/ <br/ On the evening we had:<br/ <br/ Seafood Soup Special The waiter was kind enough to offer to split the soup into two for us to share. 4.5/5Started with 2 types of arancini which were both absolutely beautiful. Crunchy outside and soft inside. Next was the burrata and calamari which were both nice and fresh but lacked a bit of punch. The pasta was the highlight, gnocchi ragu world class and the penne special was so tasty! Top notch pasta.Really nice setting and great service, well worth a visit.

Very impressive Italian bistro with a Venetian theme. I had the risotto with moreton bay bugs and squid ink wafer. There’s only a couple of bits of bug but the dish itself is extremely good. The flavours and the textures are great. My companions also enjoyed their dishes. Service was not bad. It’s a good place.

There’s a reason this is our local favourite. Even if they weren’t local. Crab pasta (I always order this , rabbit tagliatelle (amazing , Jerusalem artichoke salad and the BEST bag of chips with bags of flavour.

Excellent food. Loved the meal for 2 package with wine and cocktails.
