Its a horrible shame when you convince your friends that we should eat there when we had other options, only to be let down big time. We were on holiday and looking for a quick take away on a Sunday night. Went to the separate take away section of Vecchia Roma, and ordered 3 family sized pizzas for $61. One was the pulled pork and prawn one which isn't listed on the take away menu, but on the restaurant menu, however the owner let us order it anyway. We also were allowed to order a half and half one. All three pizzas were tasty and a good size. Five of us, including three large men, couldn't finish them. The leftovers were great the next day warmed up. The owner was very friendly and pizzas were ready in 15 minutes.
I've been there once & once only-the pizza wasn't cooked properly & it wasn't how I ordered it(parts of it missing).I was appalled by how much I paid & how bad it was,there drink prices were also too expensive.I reccommend no-body goes there as I know it was the worst mistake of my life when I thought"variety's the spice of life" & a change from the pizza place I went to regularly as this was a closer location to where I lived.
We decided to stroll the streets of Burleigh to see what was on offer for dinner. At 7:30 on a Monday evening a number of places were already closing. Vecchia Roma were very welcoming and flexible to our requests.Our dinner included gnocchi with garlic mushrooms and the ever popular fettucine carbonara. We have been locals for 30 years and loved the way the original restuarant was run by the Consalvi's. It's over! Other places may be a little more expensive but it far out ways a visit here. No presentation, no professionalism in manner or dress and food awful. Been sitting in big pots and reheated by the taste. You get what you pay for!!Sorry but I wont be back
Almost everything on the menu had a gluten free option, including the mains, pizzas and pastas. The staff were excellent, quick to bring us our drinks and food. Also they unobtrusively checked if we needed any thing throughout the night and always double checked everything to do with gluten. Both the wine and food were of top quality.
We had a 65th birthday here and manager Bill was fantastic. Food delicious and very reasonably priced. Service excellent. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
I think what initially drew me to the this place was the cool nameGroove train sounds quite funky in my opinion.
