Five stars! When I arrived there was a long line that made sense because they only allow a certain amount of people into the small store at once. The line moved at a normal pace, Definitely wouldn’t call it a long wait. Once inside you’re immediately called to order, there is a menu posted outside next to the line so once it’s your turn you’re expected to order as quick as possible. One person packs your food and you pay with another then you wait. Make sure you order everything at once so you don’t cause any delays there’s definitely a line of people behind you hoping you get your order right the first time for the sake of not having to wait any longer. I've lived in Queens previously for over 12 years and never visited Veggie Castle. A friend of a friend recommended their Caribbean vegetarian dishes and I'm in love. I needed a break from the holiday hangover food and was craving a vegetarian meal and fresh juice to start my day. Veggie Castle delivers ! I ordered on Uber Eats and they prepared my meal quickly and the presentation was excellent. They Saran wrapped all of my containers with precision. My food arrived perfect. I ordered a plantain, oats sea moss porridge, a small ginger chick'n, chick peas and okra. It came with carrots and squash. I also ordered a Skin Moisture Juice with Apple, Pineapple and aloe. Action Bronson was not lying about the amazing food. Oh... MY! I had the mac 'n ' cheese, rice with raisins, and two meat dishes with more vegetables in them. It was busy and loud and I just picked what looked good. SSSOOOOO good. I 'm not vegan, just believe good food is good food. Of the two meat dishes I 'm confident I could take them to an outing and I don 't think most people could tell. As for the mac 'n ' cheese, with the Caribbean twist of what seemed like a bit of curry powder it 's up in the best mac I 've ever had.
I absolutely love Veggie Castle. It’s a family-friendly takeout restaurant, and the food is exceptional. True to the charm of many of New York's hidden gems, the dishes are impressive. I’ve never had anything there that wasn’t delicious. The staff is friendly and always smiling, and the portion sizes are generous. Sometimes, there’s a line that stretches down the block, but it moves quickly. I usually go in for just one plate, but I often end up coming out with two or three soups and patties! Book a table now
The vegan meals, desserts, and fresh juices here are absolutely delicious and impossible to resist. I really wish they had franchises so I could enjoy their food no matter where I am in the world—it's just that good! My top favorites include the ginger chicken, mac and cheese, and all of the desserts! I highly recommend this place to everyone, whether you're vegan or not.
I dont care what your food preferences, diet restrictions are, this is GOOD eats! No funny, im hungry just thinking about it while writing this review. The wings were my favorite, although, mac and cheese was sold out and that was what I was after the most. Next time! I wont go on about each individual food, everything is great. Its grab-n-go ONLY.
I’ve moved too far away to order dinner from this restaurant, and I really miss it. I could try any dish from the menu and always be satisfied. They have a fantastic and extensive selection of delicious vegan options. I miss the mac and cheese the most; I might have to revisit the area soon just for that!
Why must the best places be long distance from my home !? Not for nothing but the long lines is worth the wait. I usually get myself a smoothie shake or natural pressed juice. The staff is awesome. Everyone who wants to start eating healthier should put this castle in their list. Book a table now
Definitely one of my favorites. The food is magnificent. I actually have never been inside of this restaurant as i always prder from uber eats. So i can only talk about the food and its phenomenal. Highly recommended . And im a regular online.
