Veneto Tapa Lounge - Hotel Rialto

Definitely a change from run of the mill restaurants. From the beginning, service and attention was complete. Starting with local wines and a very tasty appetizer of lightly spiced calamari. My wife and I like to eat in stages, as they do in Italy. We...followed this with a Ceasar Salad, made at our table, we enjoyed the entertainment side of this... We have tasted Ceasars from many different restaurants but this one definitely topped them all... We followed this with lamb made to our liking, very tasty and tender...and always a clear positive attention to our needs. We enjoyed coming to this new local venue at an older Hotel in Victoria B.C. Canada, The Hotel Rialto. We'll be back..

The ambiance was nice, and the music selection good however too loud for conversation. Our server was mostly disinterested and blasé, he forgot a number of items and was slow in responding to requests. The host (maybe manager) didn't cover his nose with his mask...and was later seen walking around inside without one. We would not return to this restaurant.

The chocolate pate was frozen solid couldn’t even cut it with a steak knife. They said it had just come out of the freezer. Bao buns were meh. Ravioli was the best dish of the three, but I will definitely not go back there.

Asked if we wanted still or sparkling but our server failed to mention that sparkling was $8. Dishonest sales techniques. Food was sub par Venato was a way better venue

Food was exceptional. Salads and appys were all healthy and delicious. Cocktails 10/10. Desserts looked epic. Setting was contemporary and cool
