Despite recommendations to not book Ventuno, I did book it for a girls night out, as it seemed to cater for all our dietary requirements. In highsight, I should have listened. It wasn't bad, it just could have been much better. We loved the anitpasto shared platter for entree, although more bread would have been nice. When it came to mains, mine was OK. The most tasty thing in the Potato gnocchi with pumpkin, pork sausage and smoked mozzarella, was the sausage. But my friends who had the Tubed pasta with calamari ragu, peas, garlic and mild chilli were very disappointed. With so much potential, it was relatively tasteless and the peas were an odd addition.Drinks were expensive, with a bottle o...

We booked about 3 weeks in advance as we knew we would be staying at nearby hotel, Pier One Sydney Harbour, and could only get an early reservation at 5.45pm on obviously a very busy Friday night.By 6.15pm this restaurant was full, and mainly with tables of Italians, all elegantly casually attired and obviously enjoying the quality food and wine on offer. This is a lovely space, nice lighting, dark woods and a large steel wheel left over from the historic wharf era makes a nice feature. And right on the Harbour overlooking the water. We had as a shared entree, the arancini which on the menu shows as polpette di riso, which my wife declared the best she'd ever had, they we light and cooked beau...
Positives: Awesome Location (Walsh Bay ) Waterfront seating option. Above Average Italian Food. Great Service. It was walking distance from Pier 1 Hotel where I was staying. Negatives: Because of Theater nearby – you cannot just walk in on most evenings. Reservation is highly recommended. Crowded .. Being vegetarian – I started with Caprese Salad. Just one word to describe -Awesome. For main course I ordered Crudaiola Pizza – thin crust – well done – diced tomatoes , rocket leaves & buffalo mozzarella . I must say that pizza was one of the good ones I have had across the globe. With Chilled Pure Blond Beer too accompany – it was a great dining experience, especially after a long an...
Whilst strolling around the wharf area in Walsh Bay we decided to find a nice place to have lunch, luckily we found this hidden gem. As soon as we walked in we knew that we'd made the right choice. The view is amazing, the service was fabulous and the food was absolutely delicious.I can honestly say it's the best seafood spaghetti that I've ever eaten.Every one enjoyed their meal, they were all delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and attentive, they helped us choose our meals and a wine to compliment the dishes that we chose. What a fabulous place to enjoy a leisurely Sunday lunch.....perfect in every way!Next time we're in Sydney we'll be going back to enjoy the fanta... Book a table now
This restaurant was referred to us by one of the staff at Pier One. When we arrived, the placed was packed. Luca told us to come back in 20 minutes and when we arrived, he gave us a table at the corner with a great view of the city. He suggested to order the calamari- amazingly good! We had risotto- that was the best risotto I've ever tasted! Pizza was great too. Luca was so friendly and helpful. He made sure our dining experience was unbelievable. He kept checking how we were doing. 5 star for this restaurant and also for Luca for such an amazing staff!
Ventuno is a fabulous Italian Restaurant in the beautiful historic Walsh Bay Area of Sydney. The food is always great and authentic, the staff attentive without being intrusive and the view is gorgeous. This place has a wonderful relaxed ambiance and is as suitable for a big family group as it is for a couple. It is our place of choice if we are going to a Sydney Theatre production. Their pre theatre dinner is excellent. Try it there is much to love.
I participated in this restaurant with my husband and parents and enjoyed their Sydney Festival Feasts menu after a show on Sunday evening. We have each received an Aperer spray and the choice of antipasti when a pizza was shared between two. It was the perfect amount of food and pizza area and antipasti on the menu were fantastic. We were all impressed by the immediate service. A nice evening on the water.
The service is outstanding here, so that the management has to have a great attitude and whose is filtered. The food was above average and the place is killer. I will come here again and again. Ok, it's a bit crumpled, but it's Walsh Bay and the locale is worth in my opinion. Come on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon with friends here and you will never forget it. Book a table now
Had a Christmas function here. Wonderful relaxing area, but also deposited and removed from the Husslein and the buses of the CBD. The service was friendly and relaxed. Some of the pizza were really good, though some as the garlic was a bit dry. Just want to try it for a normal setting.
I went there with my friend? The food was perfect, but the service was too bad The counter, he is really a pity, he spoke Italian, I could not understand it, I felt racism I will never go there Grief

"My girlfriend really enjoys thirsty bird, but I think it's just average. The fried chicken is pretty typical, but the pickles stand out as unique."
