Directly across the street from the Police Station this could be the safest place to eat in Queensland. This is a tiny but very clean restaurant with indoor+outdoor seating. We had lunch here and enjoyed a quiche and salad, and a BLT sandwich with cappuccinos. We found the staff super friendly and helpful (lots of police present too). Note: there is no washroom in the restaurant. Ask for a key and visit 2 doors down the street for a very clean washroom.
I received the best service ever! I don’t drink coffee every day, but they still remember my name when I do. This morning, while I was waiting at a traffic light, the owner waved at me and gestured, asking if I wanted coffee. By the time I crossed the street and paid, my coffee was ready and waiting for me. Amazing customer service! I would highly recommend this place!
I had an excellent breakfast here. The fried bread was fantastic, and the eggs were cooked exactly how I like them. The Soy Latte was just as good as my favorite spot back in Melbourne. The service was friendly as well. I'm really glad this was my last meal in Southport before heading up north! Thank you, team; great job!

As locals, we decided to give Verdict Expresso a try for breakfast this morning. The breakfast bruschetta was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, paired with some fantastic coffee. The service was excellent as well. Thank you!
I had a delicious BLT and iced chocolate at this restaurant. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to find me an indoor seat when it started to rain.
This café has been found lacking when it comes to coffee quality, serving very average brews. If you appreciate a high-quality coffee, I suggest trying another café.
