Excellent stay on lake Geneva with exceptional staff. Sid and his business partner (owners) were courteous and treated their guests more as friends than patrons; the restaurant staff were equally friendly and helpful. The access to the hotel is a little strange at first as you enter through the bar/restaurant (Red Bird) and access rooms behind the bar area. Beware the rooms require a climb of a flights of stairs as there is no lift. Rooms have been recently redone and the decor in ours gave an antique Swiss ski vibe. Es la primera vez que nos alojamos en Vevey y elegimos la Hostellerie de Genève, lo cual ha sido un acierto porque es muy peculiar. Sus habitaciones son originales, ninguna es como otra y cada una tiene temáticas distintas, cosa que nos sorprendió al entrar porque no sabíamos cuál nos iba a tocar. El restaurante y los camareros superagradables , simpáticos y muy atentos. Cuándo llegamos el recepcionista, Hiten, nos atendió con una amabilidad extrema , siempre sonriente. Cualquier pregunta ahí estaba él para ayudar y aclarar. La sorpresa de la habitación que nos tocó era de cine y con vistas al lago Leman. Bonjour, Madame, Monsieur, Je souhaite exprimer mon mécontentement concernant une réservation récente à votre établissement. J’avais réservé une chambre pour une nuit, mais je me suis trompée de date et j’ai confondu les jours. Lorsque j’ai contacté l’hôtel le lendemain pour annuler ou modifier la réservation, on m’a informée que cela n’était pas possible, car le dossier était considéré comme clos après une semaine. Cette réponse est très décevante et ne correspond pas à un service clientèle satisfaisant. Je suis vraiment déçu. Je vous prie de bien vouloir reconsidérer cette situation et d’envisager une solution plus flexible. Merci.
I love this cute family run hostel and I am coming back. The team are very friendly, and you really get the impression they enjoy what they do and they want to do it properly. The rooms are basic but clean which is exactly what I look for. I cannot reccomend this place enough

Chaque fois que je vais à Vevey, je m 'arrête au restaurant de l 'Hostellerie de Genève pour y manger à midi. Très bons menus et vins, service rapide et courtois.
