Ugh ...I want to like it as I live here. But this is my 2nd Christmas eve dinner and for me just terrible. I guess I don 't know what paella is supposed to taste like but this stuff was like some old leftovers with 3 rubber shrimp. Pasty rice with what ? I 'm not sure. My husband seemed to like his salmon. Little disappointed that the waiter didn 't offer a kids menu to our 2 year old granddaughter. I thought they just didn 't have one. We had to order extra because the first dish was all just hard potatoes with red peppers and a bunch of onions. No Christmas music just noise from other tables and they didn 't bother to light the candles at the tables. Not the most special of evenings...
Extremely disappointed and overprice drinks. Service was lacking.I visited this place with friends during the Christmas parade for first time. Given the history of this place, I was expecting good cocktails. Host was not very welcoming, told us to wait at the bar for bartenders. After 15 minutes some random person show up who clearly has zero knowledge of making cocktail toon our order. We asked for old fashion and whiskey sours. Came out terrible . The guy didn't even use a shaker just pour stuff in glasses like a Cheap college night club . I hope VI get some trained bartenders or better yet mixologist.
I got the vi burger, I thought it was going to be good but wants i tried it, it tasted bad it was cold and was really pink so that wasn't good. My dad got the fish and chips it looked really good but there not much fish and mostly all breading and it didn't taste good either. Also we got onion soup and clam chowder they both weren't very good. But the service was really good.
Very disappointing! Walked in to VI at 8pm for dessert to go and were denied service. It's a Saturday night, we didn't realize you closed at 8. We were treated rudely and we're staying at this establishment. Up until now our Ferndale experience was great. Next time we will stay at an Air bnb.How hard is it to pack ip a butterscotch pudding to go? Thanks ?

My friend took me here for my belated birthday dinner. I Loved the atmosphere and architecture of the restaurant and building it looked very nice and clean in the inside and had a cute little bar and fireplace in the dinning area. Waiter was very polite and nice. Food was good and the wine. I will definitely be coming back here again in the near future.
The food was good, although they unfortunately ran out of oysters, which I had gone there for. Nonetheless, it was still a pleasant dinner. As for vegetarian options, they offered French onion soup, a dinner salad, and crème brûlée, all of which were vegetarian.
If you can get a reservation, definitely go! It's an incredible dining experience. The way they prepare the meals is both unique and delicious. My gluten-free wife discovered some fantastic options as well.
This is a fantastic little find! The service is extremely quick and impeccable, and the soup is outstanding!

Chicken Potpie was grumpy and way to gluey. Lacked flavor although the veg were cooked to perfection.
