FOOD DRINKS Let's be honest. Not everything on the menu is a very common street food item in Vietnam. Some dishes are still very westernized and sadly there are still people who pick those over something new and more authentic. As an appetizer I ordered the Cha La Lot. I don't think this is the best version of the dish around Düsseldorf. They also come with a sweet fish sauce instead of a peanut sauce and again they don't grill them over charcoal which would make them so much better but I think they were still ok. My husband and I had lunch at the Vietnam Street Food restaurant today and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We chose our food from their 7.50 EUR menu and everything we ate was terrific. He had the spring rolls, chicken pho, and a beer. I had spring rolls, the crispy duck with vegetables, and a small soft drink. Our total bill was 20 EUR, with a tip. We 've been to Vietnam a couple of times and I 'll have to agree with the other 2 reviewers who found the food to be authentic. Friendly service, good food, and a great price what more can you ask for. We will definitely eat here again during our vacation, and on future visits to Düsseldorf.
Being Vietnamese and completely spoiled growing up in Southern CA and TX in close proximity to so many authentic Vietnamese restaurants, I'm a little bit pickier than the average Vietnamese food enthusiast. It's been difficult to find a tasty and truly authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Düsseldorf, but Vietnam Street Food, fortunately, is one of them. Try the iced coffee and Hanoi noodles and you won't be disappointed! The servers are always welcoming and the decor even looks like Vietnam, which is an added bonus!
