As a long time member of the Vikings Rugby Clubs in Canberra I (and my friends) were quite disgusted with the lunch time offerings at the Erindale Club. We arrived for lunch at 12.00pm and perused the lunch time menu on the "specials" board. Having made our decision by 12.05pm we (2) ordered the stuffed grilled chicken only to be told this dish had only one serve left as it had "run out". The "Chef" advised that they were only able to complete 4 orders for this dish as only 4 serves of this dish were left over from the night before!!! This is not the first time we have left Kutars Restaurant at the Erindale Rugby Union Club thoroughly disgusted but it is certainly the last time we will visit...
I have eaten here a few times recently. A work lunch with 10 and a family dinner with 6 over Xmas and New Year. Both times the food was good and everyone was happy. I tend to have rare steak, and it was cooked properly....This is not fine dining but it is fine as a club for a beer and a meal. The eating area is a great improvement on the old pre-renovation days. There are a lot of clubs to choose from. I’m happy with the Erindale Vikings as an easy place for a family meal and beer.
Good afternoon everyone. I recently had a very reasonably priced meal at this club. I thought the value for food was very fair. Good disabled access for people with Gehrig’s like myself. Unfortunately after finagling a very respectable $30 lunch I spent so much on...the pokies that I probably could have just helicoptered into Doyle’s for lunch! All in all, pretty bad time. Mainly self inflicted though I guess. Well thanks anyways.
As with most clubs within this vicinity food is so inconsistent. 1 visit can be good the next very poor. When clubs start to raise their prices to match what some restaurants charge as a customer you would expect to get quality. Service has always been good and friendly. I know they are going thru renovations but this has been happening for quite sometime.

often eat here for their lunch specials and their seniors cake & coffee special. always fresh ingredients, well cooked and good presentation. they have a la carte menu and of course fully licensed. service can be bit slow sometimes as they are very busy but the service is always very friendly.
We waited for an hour for three schnitzels. When we asked about the delay and why others who ordered after us received their meals first, we were told it was normal. There was no apology or acknowledgment of our inconvenience. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Joined to have lunch with friends and a small family. Simple meals (3 out of 4 the same) were all delayed and incorrect. Horrible food. Would like membership and meals refunded. Have since seen previous reviews and am confuded on how the bistro still operates.
Erindale vikings hadn't eaten for a few years, so the woman decided to eat there again. was very surprised at the renovations of the new dining room that was once again excellent. it will be more than likely. in the top 3 of 4 places to go in future for us.

The Oyster Kirkpatrick are the best in Canberra. Cheese and garlic pizza is awesome and the mains are also pretty good. Chicken schnitzel is big and delicious and kids meals are good size too.
The food was great and the service was excellent. I love this place. I will definitely return. The smitty dish was delicious and I was really happy with the service.
