Owner and chef Wolfgang presents an excellent table with Michelin star quality food! Ably assisted by his wife in the front of house. The dining room setting is elegant and overlooking the Saar river. The wine list offers a wide range of German white wines...that call out for fish to enjoy with them, and the foie gras was some of the best I've eaten anywhere! There are other wines besides the excellent Moselle selection of you prefer. We were there for Sunday lunch and were fortunate enough to have Wolfgang personally guide us through the menu selections. This is the second visit (we discovered this gem on a trip through the area in and had to come back. We were not disappointed!! Recommend...
We ended up here by coincidence while cycling along the Saar. The terrasse is nice for people who cannot afford a fancy dinner inside the hotel or for people who like us who are cycling along the river and need something to eat. We had...Flammekuchen and a salad and the food was ok, something you can expect in a place like this. What I mean, it is not to die for, but it was fresh and tasty. The waiters picked up our orders very quickly, but we had to wait a while for the Flammekuchen. People who had ordered salads got their food more quickly. Might be good to know if you are in a hurry. We can come back here for a lunch, or for a dinner at the hotel.
Checking reviews on TA ... we walked to Keller in order to enjoy a nice typical lunch on their terrace. On this sunny Sunday a grumpy waitress told us at pm that the kitchen was closed... well we told her that on the website&google...maps the restaurant was announced to be open until pm !? In fact, we didn't have a chance to find a solution ... little snack maybe? with a nice glass of Saar-wine!? No way The unfriendly waitress was just happy to get rid of us! Wir wurden unfreundlich abgewimmelt! No thank you, Nein Danke, non merci!
I’ve eaten here on a number of occasions, with family and with friends and have never been disappointed. In summer you can enjoy the beautiful outside setting and in winter the lovely wood fire. The food is very German and consistently good, reasonably priced and...served by friendly, efficient waiting staff. This restaurant is set back from the beautiful river views and stunning sights of Saarburg. Frequented by Germans and off the tourist track, this place gets my recommendation every time.

This restaurant is in the pretty courtyard of a hotel on the banks of the river. We made a reservation and were shown directly to the table. Service was friendly and efficient throughout but unhurried which was perfect for us. The menu was pretty limited...for the vegetarians in our party but we all found things we enjoyed and had a lovely meal. It was around for four with main courses, two shared desserts, water and two bottles of wine.
A family dinner (with drinks on the river Saar side terrace) turned into a very enjoyable afternoon. Excellent food served by professional staff. The Villa is showing its age but its comfortable. A lick of paint would help but the location and views on the...river Saar and the town of Saarburg are worth a visit anyway. Highly recommended.
We have eaten here many times over years and have never been disappointed. It is a very good reason to visit Saarburg. The prices are very reasonable. In the summer ask for a table on the terrace over-looking the river Saar don't forger...to try the fabulous local Reisling!
Perfect hearty fare after a day cycling along the Saar. Great location in the beer garden and very accommodating with children. The only problem was the service was a little slow but it was an extremely busy day as a public holiday,
