Worst experience of ordering food as long as I remember! Ordered two bowls of soup and two previous dishes and was told 45 mi. a soup was Tortellini en Brodo; asked if she could eat meat or cheese, as my Gf could not eat cheese, meat was told. An hour no food; was said delivery was out. 20 minutes later, the delivery person was informed of the wrong address, but would soon be there. He showed up 10 min later 1 1/2 overall and showed me the order with wrong address AND Phone. Tortellini was cheese, a pasta was linguine instead of penne, both were reheated and past was soggy. Called and asked for manager who said we could send someone to take it back and bring fresh food. I laughed and told he...
For years Villa Maria has been one of my favorite restaurants. They provide excellent service and give you huge portions, but they aren't cheap. If the quality of food is top notch, I don't mind paying extra for it and for years, Villa Maria was top notch, but lately the quality of the food hasn't been great. They went from a quality Italian restaurant to little more than a average take out place. I don't know what changed, I believe it's the same owners, but the food just isn't as good. As I said, I'll happily pay their prices for the good stuff, but for what I've been getting lately, I'm happy to go somewhere else.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The bread was a perfect way to start the meal, and the sauce, meatballs, eggplant, and chicken were all irresistible. The pasta was cooked perfectly. If you haven't tried this place yet, you're missing out on a taste of authentic Italian cuisine that reminds me of my grandma's cooking. I can't wait to come back when I return home from Pennsylvania. Thank you for the delicious food - please don't change anything! I look forward to visiting again soon.
