We arrived here on a Thursday night and the place was rammed. The nice lady in the bar area found us a little counter space in the rear dining room. We are so glad we stayed. She took such good care of the both of us, helped us with the menu and served us probably the best red wine I have had in Spain. All the tapas were delicious but the most memorable was the suckling pig. She asked the kitchen to split our single order into 2 separate servings for me and my wife and it was beautifully presented. It was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere here is excellent but make a reservation for the dining room where the wonderful ladies will wait and fuss over you and make you feel just wonderful.

What a gem in a relatively small town two hours from Madrid called Valladolid. We were lucky to get in with out an advance reservation. The complimentary olives blew us away right from the get go. Make sure you ask for refills. They are very gracious about that. We have the braised pork shoulder, the squab and the fish main. Each dish was beautifully presented and taste marvelous. Regrets that due to their rather generous portions, we were too full to ordered desserts. The staffs were super friendly and pleasant. This is a must go place if you are in the area. The restaurant is a restored old barn with many of the Middle Ages rafters still visible on the ceiling. Very charming indeed.

All waiters and waitresses in chef outfits, and I have some belief that they are all some sort of chefs. Explained the menu perfectly, and had the best recommendations. Every tapa brought to the table was on point. Foie gras with apple and orange sauce was unbelievable on a baguette. They had 3 tapas that apparently won the best tapa of the year awards. The wine list was great too offering other regions apart from the normal Ribera or Roja. Great atmosphere; on a Friday or Saturday night I would try and get there before 9 to get a seat. Would go back and not think twice about missing out on another restaurant. Go.
