Womp womp. 2 stars for the red sauce, which was delicious, and that's about it. From the moment we walked in, we felt like uninvited guests. We wanted to sit at the bar for a quick drink and appetizer. It appeared that the bar is not open seating, which I'm not accustomed to. There was clear tension between the bartender and the hosts. It took the bartender a few minutes to put on her welcoming act so we continued to feel awkward for a bit. We ordered a drink, 2 salads, and an appetizer. We were visiting from Florida and looked for a nice restaurant downtown to eat at. Vincenzo's is the way fine dining should still be. We have sadly lost this in our modern, fast casual, cheap throw-away society. The precision of each component of the service was like watching a symphony; from the servers, to the food runners, to the gentlemen preparing the food tableside to the presentation of the desserts. Old school, done in a stunning atmosphere. Did I say the food was amazing? A meal experience that will not be forgotten.
A fabulous Evening Service- AMAZING!!!! Food was beyond!!!! The brother owners are a gift to Louisville. I remember the first time I met Vincenzo at Grisantis. Years later I was lucky to meet and Cook with his VERY TALENTED brother(co -owner), Agostino. It is a very special place. Our son adores it as do I. Dinner with friends was to celebrate my husbands It was both my son and husbands birthday event. It was a wonderful treat. Glad we chose to celebrate there. The Soufles were also a delicious. Bonus!
