Our two friends tried the steak sandwiches for the first time, and we were all impressed by the portion of meat—none of the usual small bits or slices, but instead, a whole steak served on the bread. The service staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable, filled with plenty of local patrons just like us. Vince's has been around for a long time and has a straightforward, unadorned appearance inside and out, making it easy to overlook if you're passing by. However, it's conveniently located about a block from the I-80 freeway exit at Harbor Blvd. It's definitely one of our favorite spots for hearty food and excellent sirloin steak!
What was particularly frustrating was the unexpected extra charge for our order, labeled as "bar food," when all we ordered were appetizers from the menu—there shouldn’t be an additional fee for that. Overall, the establishment had a strange ambiance, with peculiar staff and rising prices, which certainly doesn’t encourage a return visit. I would recommend avoiding this place.
This is an excellent place for a laid-back dinner. The food was tasty and fairly priced. I ordered the shrimp fettuccine, while my wife opted for the steak sandwich. We shared a good laugh about her sandwich—she was anticipating a classic Philly cheesesteak but ended up with a steak on an Italian roll instead!
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and is actually more spacious inside than it seems from the street. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. However, given the prices, I anticipated better quality ingredients and preparation, particularly for the salads and soups.

This charming old-school Italian American restaurant offers excellent steaks, pasta dishes, and all the classic favorites. We dined there last night with a group of 19, and everyone ordered their meals individually. We all left extremely satisfied with both the food and the service.
