Had a hankering for East Indian food and was in Winnipeg. Not knowing where to go i looked online and saw Vinnies Hot Foods. The reviews were positive and the menu had items such as puttu and dosa that i have never tried. Made the decision to go and was not disappointed! It was a wonderful experience. We ordered biryani, puttu, and fish molee. The owner put on some hindu music and started cooking in her open kitchen it just added to the experience. As the food cooked the more hungry we got. very small place from the beaten away, but the visit worth. husband and wife owners (collective vinnie are very hard working and very friendly. they come from the southern tip indiens and the kitchen is authentic from there. the food was delicious and that was worth waiting while it was almost prepared from ground on. this is a small unique gem in winnipeg authentic Indian food aromen. chef has taken care of the explanation of their unique menu items so I could meet my choice. biriyanen tasted good. his little escaping, but the personal made sure that I never felt that way. it's quite economical to dive here. the people should try this place, will repeat again.
If u really miss the south Indian real taste, This is the place to be at! Such a great little family owned business and very humble guys. Really appreciate the idea of calling in for the take out that u love doesn't matter if it's on menu or not. Enjoyed the visit. Must come place for some real home made recipes.

A simple and humble place with great food. Tried their chicken biryani and loved it. The place is run by a couple who are very nice to deal with. The lady was very enthused about their idlee and dosa offereings so we plan on trying that next.

Food is amazing and the prices are even better! I recommend the biriyani for sure, it is authentic and traditional food just like you would find in India. I will definitely be eating here often!
