It was a Friday , early evening, we were in Calgary to visit the stampede, we didn't want to eat at the hotel , and to be honest , this part of Calgary seemed quiet .we were walking about and came upon this chophouse , not something we get in the UK , so we went in , i had a pork chop , my wife had a small lobster mac with truffle oil . Both dishes were fantastic , and both were very filling. Cant fault the cuisine at all , watched other dishes being served with admiration ,I wish there were restaurants as good as this everywherea good selection of food indeed
We had a great lunch at Wa Jeal. Starting with spring onion pancakes (delicious) and ending with chicken and broccoli (again delicious), the lunch menu (rice, main course and soup) was very cheap and delicious. The environment is wonderful - brick walls and pretty decorations and the service excellent. Highly recommended!!
Really the best chinese food of my life! The shrimp toast was aromatic and the outer flakes. The shrimp lo mein and spicy shrimp with peanuts were also great dishes. Our waitress managed not to make both dishes hot, but to keep all the flavors. Even the tea was fragrant and incredible. We'll be back.
