We arrived at Saint John, N.B almost at 4pm and went to check the market. The restaurant is in the market with another entrance on the side street. We had checked this restaurant before and read reviews. I was dying to try the Digby scallops! Went in and were graciously approached by the server who confirmed no reservations available. We said we were from Ontario and were eager to try their menu and had read so much about the food. Say no more, she asked if we were comfortable in one of the high tables. Of course we were!!! I had the Salmon BLT and it was AMAZING. I've never considered having bacon with salmon, what a great mixture. My lunch mate got the cedar plank salmon, and yes the salmon was served on a piping hot cedar plank. It was delicious. She said her beets were perfect, not too vinegary and the perfect tenderness. This was first experience at Billy's and I'll DEFINITELY be back. Friendly atmosphere, and Sarah our hostess was just phenomenonal. They will be doing curbside pick up during Phase 3 of the pandemic!!
Visited the City Market for the first time and had a fantastic experience at Billy's. The servers were fantastic, friendly and fun. Had some appetizers and cocktails and it was an awesome vibe there and the food was amazing! Highly recommended stop in your St. John visit.
