I hate writing not so nice reviews but this time I am doing it. I am only doing it because I really love Vitra, the passion and quality that they show in their products and campus. I believe they are the best in their field and I have been coming back to their campus several times per year... It is a great place, really nice menu, good cakes and coffee, a bit slow on busy days but I will still recommend it 100%.However today I had a bad experience. Because I'd signed up for a guided walk starting at the Vitra Design Museum it made sense to have lunch here. It was Sunday of a 3 day weekend and very full but we managed to get a table. Then we asked to move to another table because ours was drafty (luckily some other people had just left so it wasn't a problem).I had the fried polenta with walnuts and pumpkin and a mushroom sauce. The polenta was really dry so I asked for some more of the mushroom sauce and this wasn't a problem. The prices were ok, especially for a museum cafe. It was really busy and really loud but that was to be expected on a holiday weekend. There's a nice terrace outside but it was too windy when we were there. Nice...
We like the Vitra museum and the exhibition very much. The restaurant fits perfectl to this ambitious environment. The menue is compact but the dishes are fresh and tasty and the compostions are well selected. Coffee and cake are extraordinaire.The only shortage is a lack of organisation for the service which seems to be overloaded from time to time.
Thank goodness this is a good-value restaurant because there's nowhere else to eat when you're visiting Vitra. Both times I've been, it's been warm enough to eat outside. There's a set lunch, a dish of the day or an à la carte menu to choose from and everything I've had has been tasty and good value. It just makes a visit here even better.

The food here is great; we love the breakfast/brunch (which is only served until 11:30), it is excellent. They have a few main course, which are good, but not as nice as breakfast. And around 20 different cakes + nice coffee. You can sit inside or outside in summer. And make sure to visit the Museum!
Airy spacious cafe with large outdoor seating bonus on a nice autumnal day. The cakes were a difficult choice as they all looked amazing! Service was quick and friendly. A nice space to relax before the walk around the museum. I'll look at chairs differently forever!
We love coming here for cake and coffee. It's often very busy but during the warmer months you can sit outside and then there usually isn't a problem finding a table. The cakes are really good and the service is pleasant.
Good. Original. Fresh. Vegan veggie and full on Meat choices. There's a gill restaurant in the main building at the front. There's another cafe in the South Campus which has a delicious but limited menu

The VitraHaus Cafe has a small, changing daily menu. the food is good, though, and there is a variety of deserts and drinks available.
Nice place to sit outside, have a coffee and watch Vitra architecture. Just the prices were bit higher.
