I frequently travel around the Lower Mainland and love exploring local coffee shops. In my experience, big chains like Starbucks, McDonald's, and Tim Hortons often serve subpar coffee. However, among all the places I've tried, Viva Java truly stands out as the best. I've made it a point to return as often as I can and have even started buying beans for my home brewing. You won't find a better mocha anywhere in the Lower Mainland. It's absolutely worth the trip, even if you're coming from outside Richmond. Grab a cup and enjoy a leisurely stroll around Steveston or Gary Point Park to complete your day!
He promised it would be the best mocha we've ever had, and he was absolutely right. The temperature, roast intensity, and aroma are all spot on, just like the latte. I bought a bag to take home and can't wait to sample all their beans. I think I've just found the best coffee in town. This isn’t a fancy coffee shop made for stylish gatherings and Instagram shots, but if you're passionate about coffee and looking for exceptional beans, you should definitely stop by and meet the lovely couple who runs the place.
After an extensive journey throughout Asia, I struggled to find high-quality coffee at the various chains in Richmond and Vancouver. That all changed when I discovered Viva Java, conveniently located near my home. I was truly impressed by the rich flavor of their coffee. Unlike the usual bitterness you might find at places like Starbucks, their brews featured delightful nutty and floral notes. It quickly became one of my favorite spots. I have been a regular at Viva Java Coffee Shop since 2000, which means I've been savoring their coffee for 14 years. I've explored many other coffee roasters, but nothing compares to Viva Java. Even after relocating from Richmond, I still make the trip every two weeks just to stock up on their coffee beans. I genuinely love their beans!
The coffee at this place is exceptional and absolutely deserves a visit. Just steer clear of ordering a half-caf, extra foam, soy latte, and you’ll be just fine. Don’t forget to bring your sense of humor along! They have the finest beans in town!
Across the bridge, you'll find a coffee shop with a distinct character, much like its owner. I've been a fan of Viva Java through three different locations over the years, and this latest one is absolutely remarkable.
