This will be our last time at WA Frost. In an environment where you'd expect restaurants to be putting their best foot forward to maintain patronage, they fell extremely short. With reservations, it took 15 minutes to get us seated. After watching staff continuously pass by our table, it took another 15 minutes to even put a drink order in. At that point, it was the host who asked as we had not yet been inquired upon. We then proceeded to put in our full order as the writing was on the wall. I went with my husband and adult son for a birthday dinner and we had a great experience. The tables were spaced over 6 feet apart so we felt very safe. The food was delicious and we enjoyed a charcuterie platter, a cheese platter and three entrees. My husband had a strip steak, my son chose a BLT sandwich, and I had salmon with creamy quinoa and couscous. We had a good selection of wine and beer. Our server was fantastic. She was very attentive and helpful and added to the enjoyment of the evening.
We didn't feel like the Frost was the right choice for us. They prioritize their safety protocols, but we felt that it negatively affected the service and atmosphere. They didn't seem welcoming for our special occasion, so we decided to leave before placing an order. Their patio is impressive, but it's starting to lose its appeal as the weather changes.
We had a great lunch at Wa Jeal. Starting with scallion pancakes (yum) and ending with my chicken and broccoli (yum again) , the lunch deal (rice, main dish and soup) was very well priced and really delicious. The setting is wonderful--brick walls, and pretty decorations and the service excellent. Highly recommend!!

The atmosphere was cozy and secure, creating a welcoming environment. The outdoor heaters on the patio were especially appreciated as the evening grew cooler. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service.
This review is for lunch service on the beautiful patioI've had this place bookmarked for a long time and it's sort of a StPaul institution.
We had a wonderful outdoor experience with all patrons well spaced. Thank you! We'll be back as long as outdoor dining is feasible.
