Superb food and excellent service spoilt only by the shouting and swearing from customers in the bar a few feet away. I was embarrassed for my wife who had to be constantly bombarded by a string of f-words throughout the meal. I realise that this is probably beyond your control but the close proximity of the bar to the restaurant with no intervening doorway suggests that this is probably a regular occurrence and not something I could recommend to friends. Welcome to all and has a young feel about it. Also a family friendly environment.. it has a Nice out door play area is set in a real kent country side. yet close to main medway town. You have to drive which could be a down point but you only need one Pint/wine, great food and you can sup-up the relaxed friendly chatty, atmosphere. Bring back the packed calypso sunday afternoon brunch and keep the sunday lunch in-situ it was a perfect combination and unique feature.
Unfortunately, our waitress has forgotten to come to our table for our beverage order, although they apologised to our two dessert selections rasp sorbet, lemon sorbet were not available. our bill was issued and we had to point out that our drinks were not included in the total! Maybe we shouldn't have been so honest. it was a pleasant evening (a jubilee,) but there were some minor unnecessary problems as mentioned above
amazing eating, much better than a standard pub. animals and outdoor game offered a little more for children. we didn't understand why it was so quiet on a Saturday afternoon! only negatiw was that there is no baby change facility in the toilets of men.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the Sunday roast. The staff were friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. I will definitely return.
There were only one other couple in restaurant, and we only ordered two main courses, but we still had to wait an hour for the food. No explanation was given for delay.
