we spent 3 days in the Bavarian forest and (because we did not dare the kitchen of our hotel) in the forest cafe for the silvester menu. the menu order: salmonella with fresh cheese filling and rucolasalat, gurkencreme soup with razimps, scubating with late zle and cream sauce and mascarpone cream with berries. one of our daughters doesn't like meat and received without problems cheese puffs. the food was very tasty and the price with about 26 € was not very expensive. we will be coming back
there is a great buttermilk here. when they walk past a hot summer day, they enjoy the view on the terrace, beautiful days to the alps on the other side. the family that runs the small locally probably already for generations does this with dedication and engagement. eating is certainly not a gourmet matter, but nobody expects it. in winter, the woodsheite in often in the gaststube and warm the gasts.
small but fine house. sitting comfortably on the terrace and looking into the far away. unfortunately we discovered this caffe very late in our holiday. the service friendly and fast. the prices very civilian. a large beer from the barrel 2,70€, an imperial brittle 7,50, a beer cheese with bratkartoffel 6,90€ everything freshly prepared.
a family business that has been existing for decades, which we like to visit during our holiday in st. englmar for lunch or a piece of cake. depending on the weather, either in the cozy pub or on the terrace. here is the view to far into the doughnut plain simply fantastic. thanks to the family meindorfer! the forest café offers a return on a terrace with a beautiful view of the visitor. the prices of eating are moderate, the size of the portions but also. Unfortunately, my guess is that the "homemade cake" is not homemade. the prices of drinks are good.
We're spontaneous, two families. Super friendly service, mega delicious food, price top! We were very happy to have found this small, cozy and traditional restaurant and sad that we were only once, but we came back, thank you very much.
Pleasant ambience, but the portions are pretty clear here. Great view, everything perfect, the ladies of the service team seem to be family members and are partly somewhat unfriendly. Otherwise great location, but it was already....
