You can only sit outside to dine. Expect the few tables in the shade that is reserved, everything is in the sun. We went on a sunny midday in June. Very hot. If we’ve known there are only outdoor seatings we wouldn’t have gone. There was only one server there. Very busy. We couldn’t stand the heat in the sun and left before ordering. We had visitor from Holland who wanted German good. We found this place with fair reviews. Otherwise, it’s a place in the nature with a kids playgrounds
They were here the second time today. We liked it again. We got a table, because a lot was going on. Despite everything, the drinks were very fast. For dinner we ordered two hunters and nuggets for our son. Again, we haven't waited 20 minutes. Compliment to the kitchen. Very tasty and especially plentiful. My wife didn't make her portion. We like to come back
Ein schönes Plätzchen im Kottenforst für eine Pause bei einem ausgedehnten Spaziergang oder einer Radtour. Der Service ist schnell und freundlich. Beim Essen kann etwas mehr drin sein. Die Portionsgröße ist gut, optisch und geschmacklich ok. In Betrachtung des Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist das dann doch alles im zu erwartenden Rahmen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
Good average for a evening out with the family. A big playground and a good local cuisine are to be found here. This restaurant used to be the local station, and still the local train stops here when signalled to. The adjacent forest lets one reminisce about how the area looked like hundreds of years ago. We were here on Friday to eat the grater cake. Everything was freshly prepared and there were even made Herings salads white and red and sunbathe tasty rice on the buffet available.
I was not so happy, slow service though not much was going on. I think the prices for drinks are high. (Weizen 0.5l from the bottle to pour in 5€
Very nice service. There you can return very well after a beautiful hike. The food was great. Very tasty and plentiful. Very recommended.
Don't know much about food because I stopped by just for a beer but Biergarten looks great and unexpected considering the area. Book a table now
