I have visited this place twice and food was consistently delicious. I recently ordered the special with collard greens, cheese and mince and the beef stew. Both served with a large fermented flatbread: injeera. The bread is a sourdough and taste slightly lemony. The stew was a tomato based stew with spices and was really savoury. The special ibex taste a lot like woody herbs and tangy so if you like a deep herbs, tangy flavours than you would enjoy the special. Cooking time was slow but food was made fresh to order. I cannot recommend this restaurant. The food was subpar and lacked quality. I chose to order from here after seeing the 4.6-star rating, but as an Ethiopian, I was extremely disappointed with the $50 worth of food I received. The Doro Wat was excessively sour and did not include an egg, just one small piece of chicken for $17. Additionally, the beef in my Bozena Shiro stew was tough and dry, making it very unappealing.
The menu was fantastic, featuring a variety of vegetarian and vegan options that were absolutely sensational—simply delicious. The service was excellent, as the staff respected our choices while also offering suggestions that really elevated our experience, bringing that special Omani flair.

I love this restaurant in Sunshine. The food is delicious and they offer a great coffee ceremony too. I went with my parents and asked for it to not be too spicy for them and they prepared it especially. Great value a great spot...if you fancy something other than Vietnamese in Sunshine!
This restaurant only accepts cash, and unfortunately, I wasn't able to try it out. It's a shame! If the owner is reading this, please consider getting an EFTPOS machine to make things easier for your customers.
The food here is incredibly delicious, even though I usually don't love injera bread. I always enjoy eating here because everything is so fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend it.
I always enjoy the food and friendly service at Walia Ibex. It's my go-to Ethiopian restaurant in the West! The food is consistently delicious, and the service is outstanding.
