Many many years ago (at least 20, probably more) I visited the original spot on mamaroneck, and hated the hotdog. It was white and an odd flavor, it tasted as unappetizing as it looked. I never could understand the line around the block. Fast forward to a few months ago, my husband was dying to go to the one in White Plains, so he did and when I saw what he got, it looked really good and I decided I 'd have to give them another chance one day. This dive restaurant in White Plains near our favourite art supplies store (Thomson's) is divine if simple. I don't like hot dogs so won't comment on those. I went for the egg cream, a lost art, to an indifferent generation. This kid is from another era! A real soda j (a compliment, not an insult, look it up) knew what he was doing and made the best egg cream I have had in years. Kudos to them for passing this knowledge and traditions along. I would hire that kid in a heartbeat.
Obviously Not the original location but it preserves the original taste. Always go for a (double) puffy dog, mustard and ketchup, side of regular fries. Something about washing it down with a coke enhances the flavors..don?t ask, just do. Anyway these dogs are great and I?ll forever love them. I remember when they were about half the price but hey, it?s all good.
Very expensive hot dogs for taste. I expected something from this world, but I find Papaya King better even sabrett hot dogs to be more tasteful and bigger. The veggie hot dogs cost more that I found shocking when the meat prices are in their highest versus vegetables. We sat inside and nobody came to wipe the tables, we had to wipe them.

Decent hot dogs but prices are a bit high for what you're getting. Staff is very hit or miss. Sometimes they seem happy to see their customers and other times it seems like they don't want to be bothered. Overall it's not a bad place for a quick lunch or snack.
Although I don't like hot dogs, the Walter's ones are the best!!! So tasty and the mustard is amazing!!! I had the hot dogs for my brother's birthday, and the people in the truck were friendly. If you're looking for hot dogs, go to Walter's!!!
I loved the place first time there they have two locations both bakery nice. I had tge special for $8 hot dog, curly fries and the best Barqs medium root beer soda. MY favorite. It was just enough food I was full.Food: 5/5
No false advertising here ? best hot dogs I?ve had in my life so far! They?re always great, simple and a surprise of greatness in a new form every time (like the October footlong and the Cinnamon Sticks Deluxe!
