How a restaurant should run! My wife and I got great news tonight and decided to celebrate in a whim. We knew that this “tavern place” that we’d walked by countless times had made a wonderful make-shift outdoor dining area and decided that it was our choice. Being 4pm and looking for a quick reservation, we asked if they had availability for 2 at 5pm. They couldn’t do that, but offered us 5:15, inside, near the window. When we arrived, the owner was very pleasant and sat us at a nice table that allowed us to people watch. It's my favorite place to go for dinner or for drinks. In this time of covid-19 they do take out and outdoor dining. The food is great, the atmosphere is casual but fun. They have an extensive drink selection and keep changing the beer and wines. I don't know Scotch myself but others who do say the tavern has excellent choices. Gerry and Alma are super welcoming as well as warm and witty and make you feel like you're the only one there. If I'm there alone I've ended up in facinating conversations. I can't recommend it enough.
The best outdoor dining set up I’ve seen in the Boston area! The food was delicious and the portions were great. The duck breast and octopus were particularly tender and scrumptious. Each table is provided with three heaters, so both my girlfriend and I were warm and comfortable (despite it being 15 degrees out). All Covid precautions were taken seriously and we will be back!
A gem on Washington Square, we almost never learned to come here because they don't use any of our common reservation apps... but they are worth the effort to call or email them. Their desserts are sometimes not what we hope for after their amazing meals and we wish they would just partner with the dessert bakery across the street and save us the walk.

Fantastic experience. Great outdoor dining set up, two heaters per table and a heat light above you. Server great. Food amazing. Went a group of 4 and everyone loved the food. Keep in mind this was the insanely cold week of January and we unzipped coats. That's how warm the set up. Great job!
The fish and chips were pretty good, and the tiramisu for dessert was delightful. The service was excellent, and overall the atmosphere was pleasant. My meal was a dinner, and I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at a 5 out of 5.
Excellent place and service, humble and cozy. They make very good food keeping it simple. highly recommend their burger; get them with some truffle fries and an Allagash and you got a great Sunday meal.
Very neat and welcoming place. They serve generous meals and for fair rates. I enjoyed the food very much and the staff members were very attentive and informative. Highly recommended.
