We were at Wittringen restaurant yesterday outside a larger event. The food there is great and we were always very happy the times before. Yesterday we had a waiter (about 50). During the order he turned from us to assign seats and even without a word he left our table even though we were not finished with the order. He was very impatient, which gave a very unpleasant feeling. He seemed extremely unfriendly. We then ordered an ice cream at a younger very friendly waiter. When paying, the older waiter went again after denomination of the amount, even before I could give him the money just gone without a word. Nach einer längeren Wanderung bin ich heute im Restaurant Schloss Wittringen im Außenbereich eingekehrt, um zu essen und zu trinken. Ich habe mich an einen Tisch gesetzt und circa 20 Minuten gewartet. Alle Gäste um mich herum wurden regelmäßig bedient und versorgt. Nach mir kamen zwei weitere Gäste und setzten sich an den Nebentisch. Innerhalb einer Minute kam die Bedienung und brachte die Speisekarte. Zu mir kam weiterhin niemand. Wenn Einzelgäste dort nicht erwünscht sind, sollte man das bekannt geben. Ich habe nach einer halben Stunde das Restaurant verlassen und werde bestimmt nicht nochmal dort einkehren. Ein unglaubliches Erlebnis.
Das Essen war kaum genießbar. Das Hühnerbrustfilet war mit weichem Fettrand umgeben, das Rinderfilet mit Sehnen durchzogen und z.T. mit dem Messer nicht zerteilbar. Auch der Sauerbraten war sehnig. Die Salatsauce mit starker Essignote schmeckte wie ein Fertigprodukt, nur schlimmer. Der darauf angesprochene Kellner tat dies ab mit dem Hinweis, dass es am Fleisch liege und das Restaurant dafür nicht einstehen könne. Die Salatsauce sei außerdem die Beste, die man habe. Damit war die Sache für ihn erledigt und 110 Euro leider in den Sand gesetzt. Nie mehr wieder!!

Das Personal ist sehr unfreundlich und desinteressiert, nahezu frech!!! Man traut sich fast nicht das Personal für eine Bestellung anzusprechen. Wir sind öfters hier, weil die Ortschaft sehr schön ist. Ich finde es einfach nur schade und traurig , dass man mit so einem Benehmen/Verhalten dem Betreiber schadet und für schlechte Mundpropaganda sorgt. Besuch am 17.05.25.
Beautifully located restaurants are often rather ok from the food. In that case, I would go to dinner if it were a basement restaurant. The food is always the hammer and the price should actually be higher for this quality!
We were there as a family. Very delicious food, the owners super friendly and the food was top. Very recommended. We like to come back.
