This restaurant is a very well oiled machine! My partner and I dropped in on a rather busy Wednesday night without a booking and a table was found (cleared) very quickly, then our fabulous experience began.Our main waitress and subsequent other servers, were extremely helpful with explaining the menu, drinks were brought quickly and our meals entrée and main, all arrived seamlessly and without bother.Food was fantastic, plentiful and all in a very timely manner.Totally enjoyed this restaurant again (1st visit was in 2012) and great to see that it's still getting it right - congratulations!!
Dined here three weeks ago with overseas visitors so decided to treat the family (5 adults in party) on a return visit. The menu had changed since the last visit. We would have liked the platter of 3 dips again, but ordered other choices and the food was absolutely delicious. It came quickly and was very fresh. The ribs and garlic mash were the pick of the menu once again. Other family members had the hamburger and steak/ribs combo. The service was friendly and attentive. Couldn't fault our night out at the Waterbar. Thoroughly recommended.
We tried to get into this place but found they were so busy that a booking was essential. So we booked.I had the small steak and it was delicious, while other half had the half-ribs. (Bring an appetite).My desert was the Salted Caramel Parfait and it was excellent, though not quiet what I expected. This is a lively place with very friendly staff and the turnaways were high due to popularity.For a good grill, this is a must. Be warned - you need to book so that you won't be disappointed.
The food is really good. Service efficient. The view over the marina is great.We had the pork ribs and the lamb chops. The quantity is impressive ... so if you have normal appetite, make sure you order a half rack!!!!!I thought the lamb was much more imaginative than the pork. A whole rack of chops, with BBQ sauce. Unusual and excellent. Much softer and tastier than the pork.It is a busy place, so make a reservation!

I've always avoided the ribs because I thought they would be too messy, however I gave them a go and was pleasantly surprised.They gave me the full bib and these amazing hand towels that looked oversized Panadol until you added water.As well as being great, tasty, easy to eat and big, I didn't even get dirty!I've had the steak before and it's great as well.It was packed on a Friday night: make sure you book!
The food is amazing. This is the second time we have visited when we are in Cairns on holidays and the food has not disappointed. They are extremely busy and you do sometimes need a little patience when it comes to service. The setting is also amazing, sitting on the deck over looking the marina. If there is one thing you must do when in Cairns I would highly recommend having dinner here.
If you want a great steak then The Waterbar and Grill is the place for you. Great meals with views. You need to book in the evenings as it's always busy.
This restaurant never disappointed us. Great service, quick and nice setting Foods and wines were fantastic. Will coming back again
