OMG is one of the best buffets we were on! I write this review after I just came back from there and sat on our hotel couch so full. First thanks to Matt who took the call for the last minute booking. It was a Sunday night and they were booked! Large selection of seafood on offer King Crab, Sand Crab, King Prawns, Oysters, Green Lip Clams with numerous sauces to go; Quality meat slowly cook lamb shoulders, roast pork, roast beef, etc; decent selection of salads, soup, pasta, pizza; and best of all was dessert, which was a wide range of treats some we tried were the vanilla brule pope, macara, salted Carve There was also a chocolate fountain and fruit that we had no more space for Lol. The seafood selection was fantastic, featuring king crab, sand crab, king prawns, oysters, and green-lipped mussels, all paired with various sauces. The quality of the meats was impressive, with slow-cooked lamb shoulder, roast pork, and roast beef on offer. There was also a good variety of salads, soups, pastas, and pizzas.
But the highlight for me was the dessert! They had an amazing assortment of treats, including vanilla brûlée, salted caramel popcorn macarons, tiramisu, and red velvet gateaux. There was even a chocolate fountain with fruits, but unfortunately, we were too full to indulge in that!

I am incredibly disappointed...! I have never felt this let down at a buffet restaurant before! Where on earth is the food?! I was so frustrated that I just wanted to leave—and ultimately, I did. It's hard to believe that people are willing to pay $90 per person to eat here! They had a special that reduced it to $67 per person, but still, if you have a larger appetite, this place is NOT for you! There is simply not enough food available! People were lining up for oysters, and they'd only bring out maybe one and a half dozen every 10 to 15 minutes...
The restaurant is overcrowded and the service is inconsistent. On some days, they take orders and we can pick up our food in 5 to 10 minutes, which is great. However, on other days, they refuse to take orders and instead have everyone line up at the omelette station. This creates complete chaos at the food stations. There are many nice cafes nearby, and I wouldn't even think about having breakfast here unless I were staying at the hotel.

The restaurant opened early enough for me to enjoy breakfast and be on my way by 7:00 AM. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, leaving me wishing I could visit more often. The food was delicious, and the chef warmly delivered my meal to the table. I had a delightful omelet, making it the best breakfast buffet I've experienced on the Gold Coast.

Fantastic seafood buffet. Good variety that includes smoked salmon, crab, oysters and Morten bay bugs!!! The seasonal veg soup was amazing. We usually only drink pumpkin soup on buffets, but that was similar if not better.

I stayed at VOCO, which includes the Waves breakfast buffet. The breakfast was phenomenal, featuring a great variety of options and freshly cooked dishes. I can't recommend it highly enough!
