We’ve visited WAX on numerous occasions for Darts, Escape Room and Axe Throwing and it’s always been a pleasant and fun time. However, we went on Saturday 27th for my son’s 15th birthday to play darts and the whole experience seemed a bit rushed and wasn’t as enjoyable. We were put on the first board as soon as you walk through the door but they were setting up for a birthday party on the tables next to us so we were unable to sit anywhere or put our coats, bags and drinks etc down. A couple of times we were told to move as part of our group kept using the chairs. We were all squashed into the corner with no tables or nowhere to sit which made it quite difficult with a group of 6 to play wit...
We went to Wax Newquay in May for my sister's hen do. On the Saturday, 7 of us did axe throwing. Our teacher was really good and let us try so many types of axes, including throwing 2 at a time. We played games, had competitions, it was great. On the Sunday, 5 of us went for drinks and to do a Zombie escape room..we were rubbish and only escaped with 3 minutes to go but had such a good time. It was really fun, made our brains work, we got jump scares, it was really well laid out in several different rooms. The staff were all so friendly, it was easy to book, drinks were reasonably priced. I'd definitely recommend going to WX Newquay with a group of friends to take part in some of their activ...
We did the Zombie escape room and it was brilliant!! It was tricky in places but we did manage to escape. Our zombie was sufficiently scary and was very understanding of a member of the group that was a bit anxious. All the staff on the bar and escape room were very friendly. Definitely recommend the bar and escape room!
Can't rate the food as we didn't have any, but our stag group came in for axe throwing and the escape room. The staff running the activities clearly enjoyed their job and the enthusiasm showed. Really friendly, nice bar, would recommend to anyone after a good few hours

Rainy day find. Pool table is free, and the interactive darts is amazing. £14 for two people for an hour on the boards, well worth it, we had a great afternoon. Also, dog friendly which is always a bonus.
We did the mining escape Room for my daughter's 15th birthday. They really enjoyed it. The clues were hard enough but very enjoyable and they had a great time. Thank you!
During a hen weekend we decided to try a bit of axe throwing. Sam was fantastic, making sure we all had a great time. Thank you so much. Recommended for any celebration.
Came as a small group for two hours of darts, was lots of fun with lots of different game options. Staff were friendly and attentive, and drinks were good.
