Out today scouting for tasting and eating places. First impressions of WayWood wines were positive. Looked nice and quaint but small. There was a reasonable size crowd who seemed to be having a pleasant experience. The tasting area was very small and the arrangements were to sit at at a table somewhere. Not that appealing. There was a fee to taste which is off-putting. I do respect their right to charge this but as 95% of other cellar doors don't, we decided not to stay.

We had a delicious light lunch at WayWood Wines. Andrew and Lisa made us very welcome at the cellar door. The tasting plates that Lisa presented were delicious, fresh and made with all local ingredients. . The cellar door is in a peaceful location with beautiful views over the vines and gardens. It was our first time at the cellar door and we would certainly be going back. We would highly recommend it.

The most amazing flavours in the nibbles to order! Fantastic attentive staff. Little corner for the kiddies to play. Nice intimate setting with outdoor dining available. Spacious clean toilets. Good parking but entrance is a little tricky on a bend in the road and the gate can be closed if you arrive before opening time so take care.

We are always looking for something new in McLaren Vale and we found it in Way Wood wines. Lovely views, great food and wines. Really enjoyed the Tempranillo along with the White anchovies and the delicious chicken pate from the menu. We will be back. Lovely service and all round a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon Book a table now

This is one of my favourite places. Staff are so friendly and always have a good wine flight with excellent food and wines to taste. Shhhhhh this is my escape place when the footy is on!

Had a lovely light lunch with beautiful wines and views. Hosts were delightful as well as Holly the dog. Thanks for a great experience. The raspberry chocolate brownie was the best!
