What a lovely, warm and welcoming place! So cosy and friendly with very efficient service. We chose smoked salmon and rocket Flammkuchen and it was the best we had ever tasted! There was a very friendly atmosphere and we enjoyed looking at the eclectic mix of knick knacks and objects in every corner. We will remember this restaurant ( and the Flammkuchen!) for a long time and would definitely recommend to others.
I simply love the Wein- und Bierschanke... It a simple place, not fancy at all, with lots of character and great food. Everything you order there has something special... the Flammkuchen are just great, the meat skewers that they hang from the lamps (in the photo above) are great option!! Everyone will find something delicious to eat here!!But like I said, bring your light spirit and don't expect nothing fancy!
This place is supposedly specialised in flammkuchen. What we got was more like a pizza. The dough was way too thick. But what is worse, it wasn't baked long enough. The base was soggy, the edges were not even a little bit crunchy. Possibly the worst flammkuchen I was ever served. The portions are huge but it doesn't help if you don't like the food.
I had never tried flammkuchen before and this was a pleasant surprise. Excellent service, lots of choice and really good food. Too much food really, but we noticed most of the locals getting their remaining bits boxed (or rather foiled), and we did the same. So we had more the next day! Excellent value. Book a table now
We stopped here for drinks and a flammkuchen. This is like a ultra think crust square pizza.Instead of a red sauce base it is a white cream base on top of the dough and on top are a variety of toppings.Excellent! The service was also friendly and not too slow.
I been there several times, last October went there 3 times in a ten days stay , I like the way they present the food which is very tasty , staff always kind & helpful, I am planning to have my new year eve dinner there as I will be around, highly recommended.
Nice restaurant. I guess I am one of those few people that doesn't really go for flammkuchen -- just not my thing, but my dining companion will verify the good reviews of it here. Friendly service and the food was quite good.
