Ein echtes Highlight im Rheingau. Eine Gaststube mit heimeliger Atmosphäre, schöne Speiseauswahl (auch mit Optionen für Menschen die lieber fleischlos leben) und gute Weine. Kleines Manko ist die teilweise sehr enge Bestuhlung und der hohe Geräuschpegel, aber da ich selber sehr froh bin, wenn ich dort einen Platz bekomme, muss man das einfach hinnehmen.Im Sommer ein sehr schöner Hof mit bequemer Bestuhlung.
Im Osten von Hochheim mitten im Feld gelegen, netter Gutssausschank mit sauberen Weinen, neben Riesling u. a. auch die weniger bekannte Sorte Auxerrois. Bodenständige Küche, Qualität nach meiner Erfahrung wechselnd aber o. k. auf dem Niveau von Straußwirtschaften. Bedienung freundlich, hin und wieder stark ausgelastet. Aber ein netter Ort zum "Chillen".
Wenn Sie mal mit dem Fahrrad im Sommer hier vorbei fahren müssen Sie unbedingt das frische Rinder Tartar probieren. Natürlich klassisch mit Zwiebeln und einem rohen Ei. Dazu eine trockene Weißweinschorle und der herrliche Blick auf die Felder Hochheims.Der nette Service rundet das ganze ab. Ich freue mich schon auf den Sommer
The owner gave us a personal tour and tasting in the cellar. It was amazing standing in a dimly lit cellar made of stone, surrounded by oak barrels and tasting 6 wines. I've been buying the wines from the Weingut Diefenhard for years. These are top wines. Today I was in the ostrich economy. Great food. Appropriate prices. Very nice, attentive staff. I can only recommend this location. And the wine, what should I say?
Diefenhard is another of Hochheim's best winery restaurants. Simple menu and among the town best wines. Best sweet wine in town the dry's, half dry are also excellent. wonderful location in a field on the edge of town. Enjoy!
