One evening we walked to the other side of Mosel, Treis area. One place seemed to be more popular than others so we went in. After a while waitress came to us and we made our order. Then came strangenesses! The wine we ordered came from the inside of the restaurant but food from the outside. But that´s not all. My portion was brought to me but wife´s bratwursts never came before I asked for it. Ok, it had been ready at the same time than mine but we were not told that sausages were meant to bring ourselves so they were nearly cold when we finally got them! My flammkuchen was the best I never had eaten!!!
Recommended by our hotel owner, we went. They were having a large group, so we almost couldn't dine. So glad they took us, as it was not only great food, but a wonderful experience. Lots of locals, even three dogs!
Food is average. Big portions. Taste is okay, but nothing special. Meat is good. Schnitzel seems to be the favorite dish. It is hardly attached to the plate. We feel you can share one and the part is still okay.
