Having a couple of hours in Tarben-Trarbach, we needed somewhere outside but sheltered from the occasional drizzle. The Weinstube Aacher-hof near the river has a nice terrace with awnings and attractive foliage and plenty of customers. We had delicious local smoked trout and wild boar ham from a small but well-focused menu - beautiful flavours and accompanied by a (highly recommended but inexpensive)! bottle of Peifer Dornfelder red. Local red wines are not to be missed in this area where the white Riesling predominates. Charming and attentive service. A quality lunch-time experience!

directly on the moselufer in traben lies the weinstube Aacher-Hof. The large outdoor terrace is well thought-out and keeps sufficient places available. the moss is covered by densely ill weeping, for that one has pleasant shades with a tingling sunshine...The gaststube, on the other hand, is not as inviting; we appeared like an outsourced living room. the size of the card is manageable. the self-baked cakes are recommended. the service is flotted and cordial. If you want to run away once along the moselufer in traben, plan a small coffee break in the Aacher-Hof - we liked it.

We stopped by ( a bit late) for dinner, and even though the kitchen was about to close soon we were served up two delicious meals. This is our first time to the Mosel, and our server suggested a couple different local wines. She chose wisely. Both were superb. We had the local specialties, wildswinebratwurst and nachsteak. Both were tender, tasty, and very filling. Our German is rather limited and our server was very patient and helpful

beautiful people, but not the place where they find good food and charm. but it is not the place for it, it s snack and saussages and beer or wein. if this is what they want, they will be here in a traditional place.
