It's just THE classic: drive out to the country to go good food. In our case, in the restaurant Espenhof in Rheinhessen, part of a winery, also with accommodations. Reservation recommended, parking behind the house. Already the wine garden (the beer garden of a winery in the courtyard of the restaurant looks so daunting that you want it to be immediately summer to sit outside. But the cosy-modern interior also invites you to stay.
