Called in here as a meeting point for a night out in the town... first disappointment no cask ales at all.... the Wellie was once a holy site for a good pint of real ale... sadly no more.... this needs rectifying !! secondly the service was really bad.... however, this was not down to the staff... the young woman behind the bar was fab... really pleasant and hard working, but that was the problem... she was expected to do far to much... pool lass.... it was because of the wait that we decided to move on.... the wellies is a fab pub, great inside and out... but it needs to be brave and take the leap of employing more staff and getting things up and running...this way the pub could return to t...
I went to preston for one night. The Wellington was the first pub I stumbled across at 5 pm after checking in the hotel, and we never left. Honestly the banter was great, the pumps are clean, music we knew every tune, the staff were hilarious! It’s a little gem this! One not to be missed We didn’t try the food I’m not even sure if they do any but the customer service, and the welcome was amazing! I was only there one night but we’re planning to go back for new year they’re all great

Great all round pub, food and a top owner! I accidently left my jacket after the England game. Andy Mac (owner) managed to locate it on the cctv camera inside, tracked who took it and with the help of Facebook got the guy who picked it up to transfer me the value of the jacket back as he lost it. (All of this within a day). Thanks again for your help, absolute legend.

Belated thanks to Sarah and team at The Welly. Not a thing to pick up on, from the greeting to the great beer and food. No waiting for either. Super efficient system and felt covid safe . Would highly recommend on what we witnessed and will definitely be back soon.
