Went here for a works Christmas dinner and am still in shock about the poor standards and the way I was spoken to. Our group were told to make selections at least 3 weeks in advance exactly what we wanted. For mains there was a choice of turkey, beef or a vegetarian option. Being vegetarian, I selected the veggie option. I was told that I was the awkward one and then given roast potatoes, carrots, sprouts and a microwaved cheese and tomato pasta ready meal!! Fair enough if there was no veggie option and it was last minute but they offered a veggie choice and we 're given at least 3 weeks to prepare. The 'chef ' then came out and said 'I 'm sorry yours is sh*te but that 's your choice, I eat...
A group of 40 individuals from Northern Ireland stopped at this restaurant on their way to Glasgow in August 2022. The landlady warmly welcomed us and was very accommodating to our musicians who played for 2 hours. We had lunch during the music session and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I promised her that if we were ever in the area again, I would contact her in advance. I plan on doing so within the next week.
Great, REAL bar with REAL people enjoying themselves with REAL ales. What’s not to like? Reading a few of the negative reviews of the place who criticise either the food and or the staff and thinking; firstly, is a bar that serves food, it’s not a restaurant, and secondly, us punters are the landlady’s guests, so have some respect.
The pub is fantastic with a charming atmosphere and friendly staff. They have all football channels on TV (not just Rangers or Celtic), along with some music, a quiz on Wednesday, and amazing real ale that is reasonably priced. Book a table now

We had a fantastic Christmas Eve dinner tonight. The chef made sure to cater to our needs and prepared a delicious vegetarian Christmas roast with all the traditional sides. Highly recommend this restaurant.

A small very friendly cosy bar. Staff were delightful, helpful, Lovely ambiance Wednesday quiz great fun Lovely roaring real fire . Lovely for a cosy night in going out.
