I visited this restaurant for the first time and was assisted by a lady who I believe is the owner. She did an excellent job of upselling, and her customer service skills were impressive—thank you for that! However, I had a negative experience with a man and another woman who were dismissive when I wanted to pay. Their behavior felt unwelcoming, perhaps due to my skin color, which was disappointing. It’s tough out there, and many people are working hard to keep their businesses afloat. Despite this, I plan to return because the prices for the fresh fish are reasonable and the food was delicious. I genuinely hope that the staff’s attitudes improve, especially since there’s a tip jar available...
My husband and I frequently buy fish from this place and were excited to try their Friday dinners. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The meals are supposed to come with fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw, but the fries were overcooked, the hush puppies were mushy, and each dinner included only two hush puppies. The coleslaw tasted a bit sour as well. To be honest, the fish wasn't very good either. I'm not sure if this was just an off night, but we won't be ordering dinner from here again anytime soon. We'll stick to just buying fish instead.
I placed an online order and scheduled a pickup time, but when I arrived at the storefront at 3 PM on Saturday, no one was there, and the lights were off. My order number is 1716. Now I'm heading back home disappointed, as I didn’t get my lake perch.
Years ago I used to have a great experience going there and purchasing anything I needed. Food was on point. I just wish deadbeat Dave would pay his snow bill since he complained after we did the work and after it snowed. Ridiculous
