I recently visited this cozy restaurant on the bustling King Street for an early dinner. Despite the numerous dining options in Newtown, this place stood out. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, likely due to the quiet atmosphere in the restaurant. The menu featured a variety of appetizers, salads, pastas, and meats. I had previously ordered delivery from this restaurant and was impressed, so I knew I had to try their special Fettuccine Duck Ragu. It did not disappoint. The staff seemed to have taken note of my past reviews and made sure my dining experience was enjoyable. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try.
Walked into Whateley Lane after seeing The Italian Bowl was closed. Plain and simple review. Got the opposite of what was ordered and the man tried to convince us that was what we ordered. Left that place completely disappointed. This place should use a note pad to write down orders rather than relying on their memory. Not in the same race as The Italian Bowl. Side note In your little salad mix, olives from an Italian deli is much better to use than black Spanish olives in a jar from Woolworths.
The service was mediocre, the food was quite basic, the menu was short, and the atmosphere felt more like a university cafeteria than an Italian restaurant. The pasta was not bad, but there are better options in Newtown. I cannot recommend this place. Perhaps if it were located elsewhere. There are 2 or 3 Italian restaurants with higher quality food and much better service.

The staff at the restaurant was friendly, but the quality of the food dishes was lacking. The menu was unimpressive and the sauces were too overwhelming. The portion sizes of the meals were huge, preventing us from fully trying the desserts. Overall, it was not worth the money and we will not be returning.
It was pretty good Italian food. The atmosphere was upbeat the staff were enthusiastic and the food wasn't half bad. I got the lasagne I quite liked it. I recommend getting the dinner and movie deal too so you can catch the latest flick across the road at the Dendy. Awesome date night in my opinion :
that's what this is about. they can not go past this place for value-ratio, dizzying atmosphere and first class service. this joint is regularly turned for us, we had birthday functions here as well as fast eating before the films. the gnocchi pork ragu is a favorite of me.
Finally had diner at Whateley Lane last night. It was worth the wait! We ordered Salmon, Calamari and the Caprese Salad. They were all delicious really fresh produce and so tasty. The staff there are so friendly. I cannot wait to come again and eat more off that yummy menu.

Great food, fantastic friendly staff really good wine reasonably priced. What's not to like? Ciccio the owner front of house man is lovely always remembers our orders. Highly recommended.
