The staff at the door are incompetent. They turned away our group because we didn't have any women with us and claimed we were too drunk. This happened before, but I didn't leave a review because I thought maybe we were drunk. However, today we were rejected even though the pub was empty. They lied about us being kicked out of another pub. In contrast, we have had positive experiences at Wetherspoons nearby with friendly door staff. The person at the door today, without any identification, became physical with me when I questioned why we were not allowed in. After being in Uxbridge for 6 months, my colleagues and I decided to visit this restaurant for a drink. The establishment appeared to be fairly clean, although the toilets had not been cleaned by the staff. The employees were impolite, informing us that hats were not allowed due to CCTV surveillance. This was not a welcoming environment in any way. I would recommend either replacing the staff or providing them with additional training. In the meantime, we will not be spending our money here. It's no surprise that the restaurant is empty.

My Google review was mysteriously removed. The service provided by the bouncers on Friday was absolutely terrible and clearly homophobic. My email complaint was completely ignored and not even acknowledged. This is completely unacceptable.

After my Mum recommended Whelans myself and my cousin went for lunch yesterday, the food was incredible and the bar staff were so helpful and pleasant, an all round fantastic experience, we’ll be back soon.

Much better than the alternatives in Uxbridge, great atmosphere for a night out of casual drinking with friends.
