We are from Joplin, MO, and came to visit family and take time off for my wife's birthday. The family had to work but recommended Whistle Stop. We drove over for breakfast and are so glad we did. One of their customer's was on his way out I asked how he liked the Café. He said he was 90 years old and came here every morning. He had many good things to say about the restaurant food, service, and cleanliness. His recommendation was right on target. The restaurant was super clean from front to back. The waitress was so kind and attentive to our needs. She brought the pancakes out on a special plate for my wife's birthday and even sang to her. The food was made from scratch and over-the-top deli...
I am not sure how we even ended up here, it's a little off the beaten path but I am glad we did. I love to eat at locally owned places, and this is why. We showed up about 10 minutes before they were to close, and were the only customers. They greeted us cheerfully, not disappointed that we were causing them to stay late. They have homemade lunch specials and desserts as well as grill food.. the restaurant was clean and bright.. We had a pleasant conversation with the owner/cook . The whole experience was enjoyable and not overpriced. When I go through Jonesboro again, I plan to stop there. I'll be earlier next time.
Not impressed . It’s pretty slow and it wasn’t even that busy.Coffee needs to be hotter. Bacon taste old seams to be big deal to try to get crispy bacon.It’s the best breakfast in town in Jonesboro has trouble !
Very tasty. The daily blue plate type special is a good value entrée, two sides, and cornbread or Texas toast for under 10 bucks. Staff is super friendly and the location is homey and very clean. Book a table now
Got a cheese burger and it was made from a frozen patty. I got a burger and fries and For 10 dollars it should have been real hamburger meat. Will not order a burger from there again
Best breakfast in town by a long shot. The breakfast pork chops and the biscuits n gravy are the bomb. Nothing that you order here for breakfast or lunch will disappoint you.
Everyone giving this 4 and 5 stars mustve ate trash as a kid to say this food is good. Horrible and bland. I'd rather eat nursing home food
