Given the recent move into a second lock down we decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway. One that hopefully would closely mirror a meal if were were able to go to a restaurant/fine pub to eat. I can honestly say that the food we ordered was fabulous. We ordered both types of meat pies (with veg, chips or mash gravy) , the Lasagne with salad and chips plus the desserts. Service was speedy, safe and friendly. The food was very well packed, still pipping hot by the time I got home and was to the same standard as if we had ate in at the White hart. Brilliant! We hired the function room at The White Heart for a family get together for my husband's 50th birthday. The younger children loved playing in the garden and we connected our playstation to the big TV in the function room, which kept the big kids happy. Jordan and the team were brilliant (as always) and couldn't do enough to help. Service was great and the buffet was delicious and really reasonably priced. There was so much that we took the leftovers home for lunch the next day. The Bailey's cheesecake gets a special mention (ordered in addition to the buffet) as it's my favourite!
A long time since my last visit, little has changed. At the time of our visit there were just a few locals in. The menu had the usual Pub Classics and sandwiches. Our choices of Scampi (a generous portion), and Ham, Egg, (ham off the bone), both served with a generous portion of chips all freshly cooked. The bar offered a range of lagers and a small selection of ales, Doom Bar and Speckled Hen. Other ales available from time to time.
I visited the White Hart this evening for a meal with my grandparents and we had such a lovely time! The way the staff take care of my grandparents is amazing, especially Jordan who comes over and sits with them for a moment. The food was amazing we all opted for the steak and it was all cooked to perfection. Staff were attentive and kept us smiling and the food was incredible!

Thank you to Jordan and his team for looking after us. We went here for Sunday lunch before setting off on our holiday. We pre ordered our food, which worked really well for us. The pub has a warm friendly feel to it, very much created by Jordan and his team. We will be back soon, looking forward to the summer and nights in the beer garden x
Although we live locally this was the first time we had visited for a meal. The food was very good and the service attentive and helpful. I enjoyed my main of liver and bacon with mash, and the portions were perhaps over-generous. My wife had scampi and chips, also rather substantial. The starters were very good also. We will be going again.
Was here recently for a wake after a funeral. The service was excellent as was the food. There was more than enough for everyone Jordan could not have done enough to make sure everyone was ok and that everything was good Would highly recommend
Visited on the weekend as live locally but unfortunately lacks atmosphere now. The place is looking tired and the drinks are very overpriced. Would be better with a local chain than here.

Great local pub staff are all friendly and welcoming. Jorden is very accommodating when the restaurant is busy to get us a table. Best pub in hockley for food and drinks.
Couldn’t cut the smothered chicken. Chicken could not be cut through dry and tough. Would suggest a rethink
