We actually visited White Rose twice (once for lunch and once for dinner) during our vacation in Calgary, since the food and service was so good. Our young daughter is allergic to dairy, eggs, nuts and wheat, which often doesn't leave many menu options for her. When we informed the waitress, she recommended items from both the vegetarian kitchen menu and the smokehouse BBQ that would be safe (which were a lot of choices!). Our daughter devoured the ribs, smoked chicken and baked beans! She also loved the fresh watermelon/lime juice that is made in house. A diverse menu featuring vegetarian options and barbeque dishes. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The waitress was friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. Our group of five enjoyed everything we ordered, with standout items including the chorizo sandwich, ribs, mac and cheese, and goat cheesecake. The beet risotto was delicious, but the radicchio was a bit too bitter. The plum mojito lacked flavor. Despite this, the restaurant is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and I would definitely visit again.
I have to first own up that I'm an avid meat-atarian. We decided to go vegetarian today to have something light before my son's bike race. White Rose seems like a good choice with its proximity to the hotel and lighter fare. We ordered the giant beans, risotto, and fried chickpeas to start. All washed down with a fantastic Québec summer ale. They do have a meat menu as well but hey if u visit a vegetarian restaurant I say go vegetarian! Very nice restaurant with very delicious vegetarian fare. I highly recommend you give it a try.
Our dinner here was fresh, flavourful, and creative. They were flexible in accommodating preferences and allergies to make our meal delicious - also honest in pairing suggestions. I am vegetarian and my husband isn't, so he could enjoy meat entrees from the next door Coal Shed smokehouse, which made everything just right. The patio is comfortable, clean and nicely separated from the street by a raised garden. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town.

Our first experience was very nice. The service was polite and cheerful and the food was delicious. We told some friends about it and returned about 2 weeks later. I felt like a fool when the food arrived and it seemed like it was cooked by a different chef who didn't get the recipes. No-one of our party of 4 liked the food, especially the tiny portions. Wouldn't go back based on the second visit.
Decided to attend a vegetarian restaurant for a change from the usually places we go and we where not disappointed. Place we really nice and clean and if you wanted meat, they can serve if need be. Layout it good and the food is very good and made to share. Service was just as good. Well worth a visit.
All three dishes that we ordered were delicious. There was such a fun, lively vibe inside. The owner and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back.
