Unfortunately the service in this place is non existing. When we arrive it takes people several minutes to decide if we can sit downstairs or upstairs and the tone at that point is already not good. When we finally go upstairs we’re seated immediately...by a lady, no problems there, until minutes later when her colleague is moving the table and chairs because we’re in the way. Not a great way to make customers feel welcome. We go to look at cakes and decide but when we tell the waiter to please bring us pieces of the layered cake with nuts and marcipan (there was only one like that) he scolds us for not knowing the name of the cake “because he couldn’t possibly know the names of the like cak...
If you want a field study in arrogance this is the place to go. Food and drinks were ok, but I never ever experience such arrogance. First we asked for a table and received a very rude answer- then ignored by the waiter ..maybe because we are Danish (don’t know) . A very snobbish male waiter came to our table just looked at us. No welcome, hi nothing . Took our order with out a word. Had to ask for the bill times. Very much a contrast to all the nice people at other cafes and restaurants we visited here in Lübeck.
We chose to go here for a quick bite of lunch when standing at a booth eating a sausage gets a little boring. We both chose a jacket potato with different fillings. I had chicken and it was delicious and served with a wonderful salad...with interesting dressing. Service is quick, the environment very different, and the whole experience is to be recommended.
It was a warm Sunday lunchtime and we ordered a Caesar Salad and a veggy salad. Both were delicious. This is a serious establishment and the place is clean and very welcoming. The waiter spoke excellent English. There was a limited menu in English but...there is much more if you ask for a German translation. THANKS.

Nice location in Breite Strasse. We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery on this busy pedestrian street. The lunch dragged unnecessarily as we had to wait minutes for a simple serving of Currywurst with Bratkartoffeln. I had expected more efficiency and attention. It was...somewhat of a disappointment overall.
We had only a couple of coffees and a marzipan pastry in the picturesque Adlersaal, but how nice they were. The Turkish coffee was outstanding, delivered on an elegant service of its own, and came with two pieces of Turkish delight. When the bill arrived,...it was less than
Beautiful place for a quick bite. Service was all good in the cafe downstairs but the waiter in the restaurant was less polite. Will definitely recomend passing by and sit with a cup of hot coffee and admire the old building in the Adlers Halle ..(Eagles hall).
We had a very nice Gullashsuppe followed by Schwarzwalder Kirch at a reasonable price and nicely served. Can be recommended and also sitting at the outdoor restaurant at the Breite Street, you can follow the hectic life.

Coffee is not enjoyable The service is not friendly enough and it needs to get improved (Never Order water) it costs almost for no reason
Very good selection of coffees and cakes. Great to sit outside and watch people walking around. Service was very good.
