It's great to see the Willowtree back open again, but the new trading methods are different for obvious reasons. If we don't adhere to them, there will be consequences. The Willowtree is quite small in size. I was concerned to see all tables full in the back room with no social distancing, including elderly patrons. There was only 20 centimeters between tables and only the table tops were wiped down between guests. I witnessed a family sit at a table that hadn't been cleared at all. It doesn't seem safe to pass around sauce and vinegar bottles between tables without disinfecting them. There doesn't appear to be any Covid-19 restrictions in place aside from some staff wearing face shields. Ha...
I was in on Saturday with my daughters and her friends that were staying overnight, as a treat I took them to the Willowtree . It was top class from start to finish they were extremely busy and my first thought was this was going to be long but it was quicker than I thought and the food was piping hot and tasted great. We have been here before and its been good but this was even better I was delighted with the service, food, and of course price! I would strongly recommend
Called in after travelling about 100 miles from our 2 day break. We were shown to our table and given menus. We ordered tuna baked potatoe and the club sandwich along with coffees. Our server brought the coffees whilst we waited a short time for our food to arrive. The club sandwich was excellent and I paid tribute to them for it. They did not have a card machine and we were lucky to have enough to cover it. Will definely call again if in the area
Choose to eat upstairs by one of the window tables and had a great view of Comber Square and its monuments below.Enjoyed the piping hot stuffed roast chicken and bacon with all the trimmings in this homely and friendly little place.Plenty of "daily specials "on offer which the waitress informed us of so will look forward to the next visit.Only drawback is they do not accept cards so bring cash.

I was very concerned about several things during my visit to this restaurant. Looking back, I should have just left. The tables were too close together, the staff were not wearing masks, the table was hardly cleaned between customers, and they only accepted cash for payment. I have decided that I will not be returning to this restaurant.
First time visiting Willowtree and delighted to find that my dog was also welcome (downstairs in café . My friend and I enjoyed tea and delicious scones whilst he tucked into a lovely puppachino kindly supplied by our friendly waitress. Great service, good food and super friendly. Will definitely be back.
Amazing food, they go out of their way to accommodate any request. They serve all-day breakfast and their mince steak pie with chips is delicious. Definitely worth a visit. We frequent this restaurant often and have brought many friends to The Willow Tree. Highly recommend it.
Thankyou to the very kind waitress who put in a pound of her own money to save me running out to cash point as it's a cash only establishment very kind of her. Also, sandwiches lovely and fresh and staff very friendly.. Didn't have one but the grey's smelt and looked lovely!!

Went in for a quick lunch recently. Three paninis ordered. It took almost half an hour for them to come out, one of which was a chicken tikka where the sauce was warm but the chicken was cold. The other two were grand. I won't be rushing back.
