Wimpy's Diner - Table reservation

J. Wellington Wimpy would not be impressed. Two for lunch on a slow Saturday afternoon. We were seated promptly, next to three adults in the adjoining booth. I noticed that they had been served beverages, and were awaiting their food order. The friendly waitress took our lunch order - burger, onion rings, an omelet and two soft drinks. Simple, right ? And then we waited. And waited. And waited. The order finally arrived, at the displeasure of the folks waiting in the next booth. They were still waiting for their egg orders, and were not too happy that our food was served first. They voiced their displeasure with the server, and who could blame them ?Our omelet was average, served with tastel...

I believe this is a chain restaurant in Ontario. I wish they were in Alberta where we live. The burger is large 10 oz long oval shape spilling out the sides of a regular size round bun. This does make it messy, or amazing depending on your point of view. Either way it tasted great. There were plenty of fries too.The service was also good. We never felt rushed even though we arrived after 8:00pm. We even enjoyed some fantastic apple pie for desert. Skip the ice cream though. The Kawartha dairy is more or less across the street and serves the best ice cream cone in town.

One of the best wimpy's my family has visited. Great selection of meals on the menu. Daily specials, large portions , hard to beat for value. Cosistent quality never disappointed.

Great place to eat if you are in a hurry and it is priced right. the food is always fresh and it always comes with a smile.

This I'd a typical diner with a huge menu with a variety of choices which will satisfy anyone. Fast friendly service.
