What brings us back to the Windbag, even though the menu doesn't offer much variety? It's affordable, conveniently located, and a great spot to gather with friends before we embark on a night of bar hopping. There aren't many places where you can walk in no matter what you're wearing, and to be honest, our choices are quite limited. Nonetheless, the Windbag always manages to create a welcoming ambiance. The only downside is that it can turn into a bit of a lively party scene on weekends.
I visited this restaurant on September 13, 2022, with a friend to celebrate his daughter's birthday. Unfortunately, the bartender didn't seem to have the skills to mix drinks properly. I ordered four drinks, and they were overly sweet with hardly any alcohol in them. I ended up feeling sick from all the sugary concoctions. I was really disappointed with the experience. Just a few days earlier, we had been to GOLD BAR, which was far better in comparison.
Based on my experience with the food, I can confidently say that the pretzel is a standout item that won't disappoint—despite being served in a pizza box. It's probably one of the best pretzels I've ever tasted. For 16 dollars, it's definitely worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our food arrived in a timely manner.
We ordered the mac and cheese with fried chicken and a bacon cheeseburger. The fried chicken was tough and dry, but the mac and cheese was decent. When the waitress asked how we wanted the burger cooked, we requested medium, but it arrived well done instead. We were a bit disappointed. However, the service was good. Book a table now
This place seems like it is busy any day of the week during dinner time. The outdoor seating is pleasant on temperate days. The staff were friendly and my waitress was attentive to my questions about their gluten free options. They have access to gluten free buns, noodles, and no croutons on the salad options.
Having the food here and the pretzel I would say the pretzel won’t disappoint. Yes it is in a pizza box. Probably one of the best pretzels I have ever had. A good use of 16 bucks. Staff was friendly and helpful and we received food in reasonable about of time.
