The BEST Thai food in the Portland metro area, hands down. Yeah, it's a tiny food cart in a bar parking lot, but it's phenomenal!Tons of flavor and every item is perfectly cooked. Huge portions. Not very expensive. I had the yakisoba and my husband had the crab pad Thai. We kept looking at each other like, Can you believe how GOOD this is?! Winnie is friendly and kind and her food deserves to be mentioned alongside the more well-known/popular restaurants in the Portland area.If you're ever in the area of 82nd Ave in Happy Valley, you gotta eat here. Although, I'd drive miles out of my way for Winnie's food.
Be aware. The owner is vegetarian and served bad meat (chicken). This place used to be amazing since the last owner has gone down hill. You can not serve bad chicken and meat! Perhaps stick to a menu (vegetarian) or other dishes you are more comfortable making. This is not it, you are going to make someone sick! I got pad thai on a lunch and it was chicken. The chicken smelled sour and was cooked in less that 10min. She offered a re-do, I should have just got my money back.
I 100% recommend Winnie Thai Food and that’s no BS. Winnie is as amazing as the food which is important to me when I’m supporting a small business. The food is fresh, authentic, and made to order. Not to mention the portions, dang! Winnie catered to our crazy requests without hesitation. I asked for the hottest level of heat to make me cry and she didn’t disappoint. Bottom line… Great food, great owner, great price, and large portions. What more do you want? Try it.
I have to say, this is hands down the best Thai food in town. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. Every meal feels like two meals, as I struggle to finish everything in one sitting. My goal is to try every item on the menu. Winnie is fantastic and willing to accommodate any requests. I always receive service with a smile at this restaurant. It's impressive that they remember my name each time I visit. The food is consistently delicious and the service is quick. I can't praise the owner enough - she is extremely friendly and attentive, going above and beyond for her customers. If you're craving Thai food but don't want to wait long or are in a rush, I highly recommend trying this place.
great authentic Thai cuisine in a sweet food truck. I had crab pad thai noodles and it was great. also some delicious fried tofu. Fucking on mcdonalds. I'm going to winnie instead. how u wait for their order. I had a drink in the roccos bar and she brought him here. service deluxe. in any case to go a place.
Winnie runs this restaurant smoothly and with a smile. The chicken Thai dish was delicious with generous portions. The egg rolls are made fresh daily. I wish they served Thai ice cream a few times a week. Overall, the food was great, prices were fair, drinks were generous, and service was reasonable.
